Top of the Tots - Bequeathed

A dear and highly protected treasure from our archive of orphaned family legacies. "Top of the Tots" arrived in the studio a bit beaten and nearly falling apart but we couldn't resist the challenge. On closer inspection we realised that this handmade British treasure, circa 1920's, was actually a very, very small child's bespoke hat. We were lost for hours in wonderment of the secrets that lied beneath this tiny brim. What incredible occasion could have beckoned for the parents of this privileged bambino to require a bespoke-made silk pony skin top hat for their, ummm, new-born?
